Two week in Chester Library from 2 Nov to 16 Nov 2019

 47 pictures entered by 19 artists 

South Wall and corner 25 paintings mainly 20x16 inch

West Wall - 22 smaller paintings

Public voting results from 155 votes cast.

    1 st  with 17 votes my collage painting of Edinburgh view to Carlton Hill

2 nd with 16 votes Peter Robbins- Warkworth Castle in acrylics

 3 rd with 10 votes David Armstrong - Chester le Street Bowls in acrylics

David is one of our newest members and his work can be viewed on Instagram

Chester le Street art Society Autumn Exhibition 2017

CLS library from November 4th for one week.
I forgot the picture labels so I had to go home to collect them. I normally hang the pictures but left it to the others and when I returned everything was strung and in place.
I also managed to erase my photos before downloading so the photos below are courtesy of Anne Marie on her iPhone.

 There were 31 entries and we had 74 visitors who voted for the best picture which resulted in a tie for first place with Jan Graham- dog portrait, Peter Robbins- Staithes and Peter Robbins- Whitby who each received ten votes. ( shown with a white cross on the photos except for the Staithes painting).

Congratulations to Hazel Clark who sold her painting of Plockton- third photo top right.

I missed the exhibition as we were having a weeks holiday in York.

Chester le Street Art Exhibition Public Vote

Tie for first place with three paintings receiving 6 votes. Placing decided on total votes each artist received for their submitted paintings.

Winner Doug Stevenson for FENG HUANG with 13 votes

 Second place Malcolm Coils with NANNY LANE TROUTBECK with 11 votes

 Third place with 9 votes was Peter Robbins with WHITBY

Poor attendance only 39 visitors all week but there was limited opening times due to library commitments on renting out the room.

White Knight watercolour paints on bockingford  200 lb not paper textured with cling film and salt then black lines added and then dark added.

Lanchester Thursday Art Group Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th October 2016.

8 paintings but only 6 fitted on to the board and other two I was kindly allowed to exhihit on the front stage.

The exhibition from 5th November 2016 for a week in the Durham County Library in Chester le Street.

Durham Botanic Gardens for 3 weeks from 1st December to the 23rd December in the Tea Room.

30 paintings hung in less than an hour- all previously strung and labelled. 

A busy couple of months.

Exhibition at Chester le Street Library runs from Saturday 5th November to Saturday 12th November showing work from most of our members in watercolour, acrylic, pastel and graphite. The Exhibition is open most days.
