Wed 11/12/13 started picture of Portloe Cornwall on 20x16 canvas with random pieces of torn tissue pasted on the canvas with PVA glue . Light blue at the top and heavier colour at the bottom to give recession. Sketch drawn with black and blue sharpies.

Acrylic paint was then added to the painting  transparently to let the tissue show through or opaquely
to hidden the tissue and give an under glow.

Adjusted the balcony and the wall behind the hotel after looking at the photo with gesso.

Wed 28/11 started picture of Spanish City at Whitley Bay Northumberland based on this sketch in my hardback book No. 45.

In the sketch I have moved the two churches closer to the dome, the photo was taken from St. Mary's Lighthouse.
On a 20 x 16 inch canvas I stuck random torn pieces of tissue paper with colours on the warm side all over the canvas and added some acrylic colour to the buildings.

Thursday added some line work with black and coloured Sharpies - photo to follow.

Sunday 10 Nov 2013 at Deerness Art Group workshop with Dave Bardon using acrylics and collage. These are the paintings he brought along as examples of his work.

My attempt was to do a picture of Blanchland that I had done before in watercolour . First I covered the 20x16 canvas with tissue paper using acrylic medium as a glue.

I then roughly drew with a wedge, used to stretch the canvas, to outline the building using Indian ink and I cut text from a catalogue showing an article on him from the Biscuit Factory for some of the buildings. I added trees behind the buildings using acrylic paint.

Some more work required.
